(part 1) Resilience of East Turkistan: Past and Present East Turkistan: General Information

  • International Support for Uyghurs Montreal, QC, Canada (map)

International Support for Uyghurs (ISU) conducts investigative research and academic studies about the gross human rights violations and cultural and religious genocide Turkic people are facing in East Turkistan. ISU also organizes campaigns to raise awareness of the Uyghur Genocide in Canada and internationally. In October 2022, we started to think about how to organize an event that could showcase the reality of Uyghur people powerfully and engagingly. We have since worked hard to make this plan a reality. Now, you are seeing the result of our hard work. Especially since last spring, we have spent almost every weekend brainstorming and discussing ideas about this project and have approached many people and institutions to facilitate the process. We collected and considered more than 200 pictures. We have created seven short videos in English and French focusing on the history, culture, and recent and current political situation of the Uyghurs. The robust collection of videos illuminates real human stories and the devastating impact of the Uyghur genocide resulting from modern-day colonialism. Videos in other languages will be coming soon with your support! Donate us!
