On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Montreal’s community and allies will gather outside the Chinese Consulate (2100 Rue Sainte-Catherine O) to peacefully protest the 76th year of Chinese occupation in East Turkistan. This event marks a day of resistance for Uyghurs, Tibetans, Hong Kongers, and others whose voices and rights are suppressed under Chinese rule. Protesters will highlight the ongoing genocide against Uyghurs and the existence of concentration camps where hundreds of thousands remain unjustly detained, suffering torture, forced labor, and family separation.
We urgently call on all human rights defenders, activists, and supporters of justice to join us in demanding an end to genocide and the closure of all concentration camps in East Turkistan. Every person’s voice makes a difference in the fight against oppression and the call for global action.
Raise your voice in Montreal—let’s stand united for justice, dignity, and true freedom!
